JAKARTA, iNews.id – The firm stance of Pangdam Jaya, Major General Dudung Abdurachman, in ordering the cleaning of the billboards of Habib Rizieq Shihab in Petamburan has pointed to both pros and cons. Not a few criticized them, many also supported them.
Other criticisms came from Party politician Gerindra Fadli Zon and PKS Hidayat Nurwahid, as well as cultural observer Sujiwo Tejo. Fadli Zon said that the removal of billboards was not the responsibility of TNI.
? What business is Pangdam Jaya ordering to remove billboards? Outside the authority and main duties and functions of TNI. “We recommend that you no longer get dragged into politics, unless you want to reactivate ABRI’s dual role to balance the police’s dual role,” said Fadli, via his Twitter account, on Friday (11/20 / 2020).
The same was said by MPR Vice President Hidayat Nur Wahid. He said the government should think about competing with the progress of other countries, not about deploying state tools in Petamburan.
“If the commitment is to implement health and effectiveness protocols to overcome Covid-19, the government should not compete with the governor of DKI or HRS in Petamburan,” HNW said.
When criticism came in waves, there were also many who supported Dudung. One of them came from the former Commander General of the Special Forces Command (Danjen Kopassus) Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus.
The retired three-star general who is currently secretary general of the Golkar Party, appreciates the footsteps of Dudung Abdurachman. According to him, this firm stance was adequate to create public order.
“Reducing non-permit attributes in public places should be done for the sake of order. TNI should intervene,” Lodewijk said in Jakarta on Saturday (11/21/2020).
Dudung was in the limelight after firmly admitting that he ordered his men to tear down billboards bearing the image of Habib Rizieq in the Petamburan area. His attitude was highly praised, to the point that it became a trending topic on Twitter.
“Okay, someone in a striped shirt knocks down Habib Rizieq’s billboard, that’s my order,” Dudung said, after simultaneous disaster preparedness and regional elections, at Monas Silang Field, central Jakarta, on Friday ( 11/20/2020) in the morning.
Former Danjen of the TNI Academy also said that anyone must obey the laws of Indonesia. If no one is obedient, they can be dissolved.
“If necessary, FPI just dissolves, it just dissolves. If you try it with TNI, let’s go,” said this 1988 Military Academy alumnus.
