JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Pangdam Jaya, Major General Dudung Abdurachman, vowed to arrest the person who tried to re-install billboards with the image of the leader of the community organization (mass organization) of the Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI) Rizieq Shihab.

“True, later with the Regional Police Chief, we will arrest them,” Dudung said at Jayakarta Military Area Command Headquarters, Cililitan, East Jakarta on Monday (11/23/2020).

Dudung added that he and the joint apparatus did not just focus on the Rizieq Shihab posters.

“We took down the cartels, not just FPI, not just Habib Rizieq. If the other cartels violate them, we will remove them,” he said.

On this occasion, the Chief of Police of Metro Jaya, Inspector General Pol Fadil Imran, was also present.

Major General Dudung Abdurachman explained that several Satpol PP officers had downloaded the Rizieq Shihab billboards that were installed without permission.

However, FPI repositioned the billboards.

Therefore, TNI immediately intervened to help remove the Rizieq Shihab banners and billboards.

Dudung also admitted that he had ordered his staff to remove the banners and billboards of the FPI and Rizieq Shihab that were scattered around the capital.

Dudung said that when he was confirmed about the circulation of a video showing several soldiers in striped clothing removing the Rizieq Shihab billboards.

“Someone in a striped shirt lowered Habib Rizieq’s billboard, that’s my order, because how many times has Satpol PP lowered the billboard, raised it up again,” Dudung said in Monas, Central Jakarta, on Friday.

Dudung said that at least 900 banners displaying Rizieq Shihab’s image have been ordered by the joint apparatus since late September 2020.
