Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Pangdam Jaya Major General TNI Dudung Abdurachman He explained that his statement on the dissolution of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) did not necessarily give him the authority to do so.
He explained that the effort to dissolve community organizations (Ormas) is entirely the authority of the government.
“can I say ‘if necessary’, ‘dissolve if necessary, right, that’s FPI,’ Dudung told reporters in Makodam Jaya, Jakarta on Monday (11/23).
Dudung explained that at that time he only conveyed his personal judgment. This does not mean that the institution will do it directly.
It is known that Dudung’s statement later turned into pros and cons because he was seen as too far removed from the role and authority of the TNI institution.
“If the TNI Military Commander cannot be dissolved. That must be the government, right? I say ‘if necessary’, right? It was not us (who dissolved), there was no TNI authority”, Dudung said.
Earlier, Dudung made the statement last Friday (11/20). He stressed that the FPI often thought it was the right fit, thus violating the rule of law.
He gave an example of the installation of billboards that did not comply with the DKI Jakarta provincial government regulations.
“Don’t go alone, like he’s the most correct, there is no such thing. Don’t try the point. If necessary, the FPI just dissolves, it just dissolves. If you try it with TNI, come on,” Dudung said when met at the National Monument. Jakarta, Friday (11/20).
Meanwhile, TNI Headquarters emphasized that there was no command for Pangdam Jaya, Major General Dudung Abdurachman, to tear down posters with the image of the Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab in the territorial area.
The head of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Information Center, Major General Achmad Riad, said TNI commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto did approve of Dudung’s move, but did not issue orders.
“In fact, the responsibility for deploying it rests with Pangdam Jaya and of course the TNI commander supports it in the sense that the TNI commander does not need to issue an order,” Riyadh told reporters in Makodam Jaya , Cawang, East Jakarta, on Monday (11/23).
