Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – The Indonesian Infrastructure Consortium CTCorp is the only entity that has passed the prequalification stage for the tender operator of the port of Patimban, Subang, West Java.

The companies that approved the Patimban Consortium are PT CTCorp Infrastruktur Indonesia, PT Indika Logistic & Support Services, PT U Connectivity Services and PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Transport, Adita Irawati, revealed that the Ministry of Transport had obtained possible operating companies that passed the prequalification stage for the Cooperation between Commercial and Government Entities (PPP) project of the Port of Patimban, which was carried out in conjunction with the Government Goods / Services Acquisition Policy Institute (LKPP).

“The results of the evaluation of the procurement committee have been presented to the General Director of Maritime Transport as Head of Cooperation Projects (PJPK) for further processing,” he said on Tuesday (10/20/2020).

Adita explained, the auction opened on September 30, 2020 and at that time many companies and consortia were expected to register. At the end of the registration period on October 14, 2020, 10 companies participated in the taking of the bidding documents.

In the end, five participants submitted bidding documents consisting of three consortium companies and two individual companies.

The five participants were then evaluated based on a series of predetermined criteria, including financial capacity, minimum net assets (net asset), holding a commercial port entity permit, as well as experience in managing container terminal projects with a predetermined minimum capacity.

“From the results of the selection that has been strictly carried out, only one company in the consortium has met all the criteria,” he explained.

Adita emphasized that even though there was only one company that passed prequalification, the government was still optimistic that a potential operator could manage one of Indonesia’s largest ports.

“The criteria have been made very strict, so those who can meet the criteria are companies with good skills,” he said.

The prequalification results are also in accordance with the LKPP Institution Regulation No. 29/2018. The regulation establishes that the contracting of commercial entities through the Cooperation between Commercial Entities and Government scheme, the auction process can still continue even if only one has passed the prequalification.

Announcement of the evaluation results will be delivered by letter to each participant. The announcement was also published on the official website of the Ministry of Transport on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
