YAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Nusantara Dua Satellite, which launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center (XLSC) in Xichang, China, on Thursday (09/04/2020) night at 19:46 WIB, was unable to orbit. The failure was due to an anomaly when the Long March-3B rocket reached the launch stage of the third rocket.

The satellite is the result of the collaboration between Indosat Ooredoo and the company. joint venture PT Palapa Satellite Nusa Sejahtera is projected to replace the Palapa-D satellite in the 113 East Long Orbit slot, which will cease to orbit by the end of July 2020.

Although Nusantara Dua was unable to orbit Palapa-D, the Ministry of Communication and Information guaranteed transmission services (to transmit) in Indonesia will remain safe.
