In addition to international sanctions due to weapons testing, Pyongtang was also affected by floods, typhoons and the impact of the corona virus.

“How many people have survived and are suffering with these difficult conditions now?” Kim Jong Un asked during his speech, where he began to cry.

Kim said if the North Korean military he called patriotic has moved quickly to prevent the spread of the crown and recover due to natural disasters.

“Their struggle cannot be rewarded with tears of gratitude. I am sorry and I am sick because I cannot be with them on this victorious night,” he said.

The third generation of the Kim dynasty claimed that the readiness of its troops meant that so far North Korea had not encountered a single case of the corona virus.

He then offered friendlier words to South Korea, where he hopes to “hold hands” with neighbors if the pandemic ends.

Dressing after Gray, the man nicknamed “Rocket Man” by US President Donald Trump said the increase was to avoid any threat.

“Including the nuclear threat that has been continually repeated by enemy forces,” the North Korean leader explained since 2011.

Speaking to the crowd from the balcony, Kim said North Korea is not the first country to use nuclear weapons in the event of conflict.

“But if any country tries to attack us, I will deploy our best weapons and punish them,” he promised.

Duyeon Kim, a senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security in Seoul, said Kim’s speech this time felt more comforting.

“He’s almost trying not to provoke America, while at the same time showing his country’s success in cementing unity,” Duyeon Kim said.

In addition to being animated by the troop gorge, the military parade celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Workers’ Party was also a place to introduce new weapons.

One of them is North Korea’s newest intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), said to be the largest weapon made by the country.

The reference is that when it was introduced in Kim Il Sung Square, the nameless ICBM was carried by a 22-wheeler truck.

In comparison, the Hwasong-15, which is North Korea’s largest ICBM and is considered to cover a distance of 12,000 km, is carried in an 18-wheeler.
