Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Political PDIP Evita Nursanty defends the State Intelligence Agency (COMPARTMENT) on training news Rajawali Special Forces fully armed. According to him, the information that BIN had fully armed troops was not true.

“No, I am 100 percent sure, there are no special forces. That is a misunderstanding,” Evita quoted Antara on Saturday (9/12).

Evita said the people in special uniforms and armed with long guns who showed up at State Intelligence College (STIN) were not troops, but students who were currently studying intelligence education.

“They are STIN agents or students who are demonstrating their skills according to their assignments,” he said.

According to him, STIN students are trained in martial arts such as silat and karate. They, Evita said, also received education on cyber skills and other social skills before going to the field to become intelligence after graduating from STIN.

“So that experience is shown as part of the ceremony, not creating special forces. We need trained STIN students because they are the main source of human resources for BIN according to the Intelligence Law,” Evita said.

Evita said that STIN students really need to receive professional development skills like intelligence. According to him, these skills will be useful for STIN students in the future to detect early against various threats inside and outside the country.

“See also in the movies, how members of the CIA, the FBI or other intelligence services have special abilities when they are on duty, for example in the infiltration of any community,” said Evita.

“In fact, we are happy that BIN has students trained in special skills and soft skills. This system is good if applied to other educational institutions, such as State Crypto High School (STSN) that has been transformed into a Cyber and National Crypto Polytechnic or Defense University, “he added.

Previously, the president of the People’s Consultative Assembly Bambang Soesatyo uploaded a video of the Inauguration of the Statute of Improvement of the State Intelligence College (STIN) in STIN Plaza, Sentul, Bogor Regency on his personal Instagram account. The video was uploaded on Wednesday (9/9).

In the video, you can see troops in special uniforms and armed with rifles. They are known as the Rajawali Special Forces.

“BIN’s Rajawali Special Forces are different. Congratulations. Excellent performance. Take care of Indonesia, protect the Republic of Indonesia,” Bambang said in a video uploaded two days ago and accessed by CNNIndonesia.com on Saturday (9 / 12).

“Is it true that BIN has armed special forces? If this is true news, it is TNI and Polri who should be offended. What is the legal basis for BIN to have fully armed intelligence forces?” Benny said, citing his personal Twitter account, @BennyHarmanID, Saturday (12/9).

Democratic Party politician Benny K. Harman questioned the legal basis for BIN to have special forces. He also questioned whether BIN had troops under President Jokowi or not.
