TRI BUN-MEDAN.com, MEDAN – For the first time, the number of new positive Covid-19 cases in North Sumatra reached 22 in 24 hours.
This condition was unprecedented during the Covid-19 pandemic in northern Sumatra.
Covid-19 Task Force spokesperson for Co-Major Major Management Acceleration Dr. Whiko Irwan expressed concern over the increase in Covid-19 positive patients beginning Saturday (09/05/2020).
“We are concerned to see the development of the number of people exposed to Covid-19 at the national and North Sumatra levels,” he said Saturday (09/05/2020).
“Last night, we increased the number of people with Covid-19 in northern Sumatra to a dozen people, which never happened during the epidemic in our area,” he continued.
In more detail, Whiko Irwan said that this situation was increasingly worrying.
“And today, the number is increasingly worrying, positive patients increase by 22 people, 15 of them are from Medan city, 1 from Pematangsiantar, 1 from Tanjungbalai, 1 from Serdang Bedagai, 1 from Labuhan Batu Utara and 3 Deliserdang, “he said.
More fully, Whiko Irwan said the number of people exposed to Covid-19 in northern Sumatra per day.
“The supervised patients (PDP) being treated in the hospital are 158 people,” he continued.
An increase in the number of positive Covid-19s was said to have occurred. There were 22 people who tested positive for Covid-19.
