Cagliari –
Nicolo Barella contributed a goal as Inter Milan beat Cagliari 3-1. This goal did not make Barella completely happy. Why?
The continuation of the Italian League between Cagliari vs Inter takes place at the Sardegna Arena, on Sunday (12/13/2020) at WIB night. The Nerazzurri fell behind in the first half thanks to a goal from Riccardo Sottil.
Inter was finally able to get up in the second half. La Benemata’s first goal was scored by Barella in the 77th minute and Danilo D’Ambrosio gave Inter a 2-1 lead in the 84th minute.
Cagliari, desperately trying to find a tie, had to concede again in injury time. Inter’s counterattack was successfully completed in a 3-1 victory thanks to a goal from Romelu Lukaku.
For Barella, this match is very emotional. Cagliari is his childhood club and his hometown. Before playing for Inter, Barella was a Cagliari first team player.
When scoring goals, Barella didn’t even celebrate. The 23-year-old midfielder simply gave a symbol of forgiveness through his hands. Barella was also seen wiping his eyes twice with his fingers.
“It has always been a difficult field, we are very happy with this victory. There will always be difficult moments, we need to play as a team to overcome them, as we did today,” Barella told DAZN.
“I still have many limits, I can improve. I am very happy and a bit regretful because I scored against Cagliari, but I am happy for this team,” he continued.
“It is always nice to come here, I am a professional and I need to play and do my best for the team where I play,” confirmed Barella.
