Naples –
Napoli will not go to Turin to face Juventus. If they still continue, Partenopei will be caught in the law.
Napoli are scheduled to play Juventus in the third week of the Italian League. The duel took place at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, on Monday (5/10/2020) in the morning of the WIB.
Start of the game in the next few hours. So far, Napoli have not moved to Turin.
The Local Health Authority (ASL) prohibits Napoli from leaving the house because it has the potential to transmit the Corona virus. This was sparked by Napoli’s encounter with Genoa, which ended with a 6-0 victory.
After that match, Genoa announced that 14 people had contracted COVID-19. Napoli then followed up with the verification and the result was four people who tested positive for Corona.
Napoli’s lawyer, Mattia Grassani, has reached out to Lega Serie A, FIGC and Juventus. The Partenopei is currently unable to reach Turin.
“There are documents and communications from the Local Health Authority and the Regione Campania asking our players not to leave their homes,” Grassani told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“We tell Lega Serie A, FIGC and Juventus that the team cannot go to Turin unless we clearly want to commit a crime,” he continued.
According to various media in Italy, Napoli has officially asked to postpone tonight’s match through an email sent by the president of Azzurri, Aurelio De Laurentiis.
“Flying to Turin means violating the decision of the Local Health Authority and the risk of facing all legal consequences. That is why we ask the Serie A Professional League to postpone the match for another date for reasons beyond our control”, reads the email from Napoli.
Juventus in attitude has no intention of postponing the game. La Anciana even raised the Juventus vs Napoli event schedule a few hours ago.
The rules of Serie A and UEFA state that as long as a team has 13 players with one of them the goalkeeper, the match can continue. That means Napoli will be declared 0-3 defeated because they have Walk Out (WO) status if they are not present at the Allianz Stadium.
