JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – A mysterious roar was heard in the sky over DKI Jakarta, especially in the South Jakarta area on Sunday night (8/20/2020).

Several residents admitted that the sound of the knock was heard twice around 7:45 p.m. WIB, causing the object to vibrate.

Surti (52), a resident of Pasar Minggu Urban Village in South Jakarta, said the sound of the blow was heard loud enough twice with a short delay.

“He heard his voice twice, it was very loud when he was watching TV at home again. Around Isya, it was heard,” Surti told Kompas.com, Sunday.

Surti said the boom sounded strange because the sound was not like a roar when it was raining.

However, he admitted that he did not really pay attention to the incident even though his voice was heard very clearly from inside his home.

“It’s very loud, but it’s normal when I hear it. Like the sound, I see. But yeah, I think maybe it’s going to rain,” he said.

Dian (30), who lives in Kalibata, South Jakarta, admitted the same.

He admitted he heard the first boom that sounded louder. Then about 1 minute later, there was another boom.

According to Dian, at that time in the Kalibata area there were no signs of rain, which was usually marked by the sound of thunder.

According to him, the voice was heard around 7:45 pm twice with a fairly short duration. However, he admitted that he did not know where the sound was coming from.

“I want to be mistaken for thunder, but I think it’s not because the frequency is low, the ground nail doesn’t sound like that either. I don’t know what that is. Obviously the frequency is low, like ‘dheem’ like that.” write the account @zwestykrisan.

Kompas.com tried to confirm the event to the Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG).

However, so far there has been no explanation from the BMKG.

Until now, it is not known where the source of the loud sound is.
