KOMPAS.com – Mulyadi never thought he knew that his son had died from various charges on social media. The news came after her son was away from home for 11 days.

His son, Rizal Nur Efendi (16), was the victim of an accident at kilometer 153-154 Jalan Surabaya-Madiun on Saturday (11/21/2020).

Rizal was killed when he was hit by a tanker truck carrying fuel oil (BBM) while he was cross-legged in the middle of the road.

“My wife and I were immediately surprised by this sad news. It turned out that our only son had died,” Mulyadi told Kompas.com, Monday (11/30/2020).

Mulyadi shared that he first learned of the information that his son had died.

He received the news about four days after the accident, specifically on Wednesday (11/25/2020).

At that time, one of his relatives showed a photo of the victim of a tanker accident that was circulating on social networks.

He found that the face in the photo of the accident victim was similar to that of his son.

The family also saw a scar stitched onto the accident victim’s right hand. The scar is similar to Rizal’s.

After learning the information on social media, Mulyadi de Sragen rushed to Madiun.

Upon reaching Madiun, Mulyadi was unable to see his son’s body. Rizal’s body was buried by agents in the Sambirejo area.

“The victim is my son. His name is Rizal Nur Efendi, who is now 16 years old. My son is still in second grade at SMK Sukawati Sragen,” Mulyadi said.

Deny mental disorders

Mulyadi denied that her only son had mental disorders. According to him, his son is healthy in body and mind.

Their only son also has no history of depression or mental disorders.

“He has never experienced mental disorders. The proof is that my son is still studying in vocational high school with a minor in light vehicle engineering,” Mulyadi said.

Mulyadi said that Rizal had been away from home for 11 days. His son left without saying goodbye to the family on Saturday (11/14/2020).

He was surprised that his son left the house. In fact, your son has no family problems.

“My son was on a motorcycle,” Mulyadi said.

The family had time to find Rizal at the home of his friends and relatives. However, the search was unsuccessful.

Mulyadi admitted that he had let his only son die. He did not think that his son would die in such a tragic way.

Previously, a video showing a fuel tanker hit a man who was sitting cross-legged in the middle of the road during heavy rain at night.

Madiun AKBP Police Chief Bagoes Wibisono said the incident took place on the Surabaya-Madiun National Highway on Saturday (11/21/2020).

The police arrested the driver with the initials STP (51) and the kernet with the initials BK (31) on charges of negligence that resulted in an accident to the death of the victim.

Both were charged by article 312 of Law No. 22 of 2009 on trafficking.

Bagoes said there were no witnesses when the accident occurred. However, the accident was captured by surveillance cameras or CCTV.

After the accident, the police arrested the driver who lived in Kediri and Kernet in Madiun. The police are still developing the possibility of other parties being involved in the case.

This is because the police discovered that other parties tried to remove the traces by repainting the front of the truck.
