FPI General Secretary Munarman, through a team of lawyers, approached Polda Metro Jaya to report on Zaenal Arifin and Muhammad Rofi’i Mukhlis. However, the police rejected the report.
Earlier, Munarman was going to sue the two on defamation charges. This counter-report was carried out after Munarman was reported on suspicion of incitement in connection with his statement, which stated that “6 FPI soldiers were shot and killed without firearms.”
“We are reporting today for our client Munarman, where we reported on the hate speech, the spread of fake news and the defamation committed by Zaenal Arifin and Muhammad Rofi’i Mukhlis that took place on December 22,” said one of the lawyers. Mumarman, Kurnia Tri Royani, at Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Wednesday (12/23/2020).
However, the reporting efforts by the Munarman camp turned out to be roundly rejected by Polda Metro Jaya.
“We have met with community service here. After being so harsh that we explained the issue and timeline to them, it turns out that our (report) was not accepted,” Kurnia explained.

Kurnia explained the police’s motive for rejecting her party’s report. According to him, his report was rejected because Munarman had previously written to the police. He added that the police considered this to be sufficient to respond to the report sent by Barisan Ksatria Nusantara to Munarman.
“It is considered that we have written a letter to the Special Directorate of Criminal Investigation. For what is considered sufficient, while we wait for there to be a receipt from the police that our report was received. So, in our opinion, this is a fabricated reason. “he explained.
According to Kurnia, there was legal discrimination related to the rejection of Munarman’s report.
“How can they denounce that it is accepted while we report that it is not accepted? So there is a kind of legal discrimination and it is clear,” he said.
