Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Secretary General of the Islamic Defenders Front (REIT) Munarman denied that there were four FPI soldiers who escaped the clash with the police on the Cikampek toll road on Monday (7/12) yesterday morning.
Munarman emphasized that there was no violation of the law in all groups guarding the leader of the FPI, Rizieq Shihab at the time.
“Inventing again. Not a single criminal act has been committed, why did he escape?” Munarman told CNNIndonesia.com, Tuesday (8/12).
Munarman stressed that the statement by Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran, who charged that there were still four Rizieq Shihab supporters who had fled, was false news. He considered that the statement could be subject to the trap of Law Number 1 of 1946 on Criminal Regulations.
“Indiscriminate reporting could be subject to Article 14 of Law Number 1 of 1946,” he said.
Munarman only advised the police not to accuse or spread slander related to the incident. He then asked the police to take responsibility for the six Laskar who died after being shot by the police.
“Be responsible for the six who were massacred, do not continue to accuse them,” he said.
Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran previously said that four Rizieq supporters fled after the clash between the police and the FPI on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road on Monday (7/12) by the morning.
The police themselves shot dead six Rizieq supporters with hot bullets. Fadil claimed that the six Rizieq supporters had endangered the duty officers, so firm and measured action was taken. Meanwhile, four other people fled.
