Election of general president
In addition to discussing a series of fatwas, the MUI National Conference also scheduled the election of a new president to replace Vice President KH Ma’ruf Amin for the period 2020-2025.

Ma’ruf, as the inactive general president of the MUI, will also present an accountability report. According to him, the report he will present can serve as a performance guide for the next term in office.

Previously, the Head of Information and Communication of MUI, Masduki Baidlowi, mentioned a number of names that were candidates to fill the position of General President of MUI for the period 2020-2025 in replacement of Ma’ruf.
