GenPI.co – The Vice President (Waketum) of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Anwar Abbas, called on the government not to always use a legal approach with parties that have different views on the management of the country.
According to him, the legal approach will be just as beneficial if it is aimed at criminals.

“But on matters related to our different views and opinions on the state and its management, let us not rush to adopt a legal and / or security approach,” Anwar Abbas said on Tuesday (12/8).
According to Abbas, the government should address dialogue and deliberation by making Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution as the main references and references.
He also said that President Joko Widodo’s (Jokowi) idea regarding the National Council of Harmony, which started in his first term of leadership, should be revived to facilitate the resolution of the problem of dissent.

“In my opinion, it is very good and very appropriate that it is reactivated, so if there is a difference like with Habib Rizieq Shihab, for example, we will be able to solve it properly,” he said.
