JAKARTA, KOMPAS TV – Former PP Muhammadiyah President Din Syamsuddin welcomed the footsteps of Muhammadiyah General Secretary Abdul Mu’ti, who rejected the offer to become Deputy Minister of Education and Culture (Wamendikbud).

According to the Presidium of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE), Abdul Mu’ti’s attitude of rejecting the offer was the right step for a true member of Muhammadiyah.

“The Muhammadiyah members are not crazy about their positions,” Din Syamsuddin said through his official statement in Jakarta on Thursday (12/24/2020).

Furthermore, Din Syamsuddin explained that members of Muhammadiyah would also reject positions that did not match their ability.

Furthermore, the offer of the post of Deputy Minister of Education and Culture, named Din Syamsuddin, undermined the spirit of the Muhammdiyah organization itself.

“Reject positions that are not in accordance with capacity and positions that undermine the spirit of the organization,” said Din Syamsuddin.
