BOLASPORT.COM – LCR Honda rider Takaaki Nakagami managed to carve three records at once after winning pole position in Teruel MotoGP 2020.

Takaaki Nakagami impressed in the Teruel MotoGP qualifying session at Motorland Aragon, Spain, on Saturday (10/24/2020).

Takaaki Nakagami came out as the fastest rider and had the right to start the Teruel MotoGP 2020 race from the forefront.

Nakagami takes over pole position his first time in the highest class after posting his best lap time of 1 minute 46.882 seconds.

The Japanese rider was just 0.063 seconds ahead of Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha SRT) who finished second.

Not only did he clinch the first pole position, Takaaki Nakagami’s promising performance also saw him carve two other records.

The 28-year-old became the first rider from Japan to take the top starting position in the MotoGP class after Makoto Tamada.

A similar achievement for Tamada happened many years ago, to be precise 16 years ago in the Valencia MotoGP series in the 2004 season.
