SAN MARINO, KOMPAS.com – Monster Energy Yamaha rider Maverick Vinales managed to become fastest in the Emilia Romagna MotoGP qualifying session.
The Emilia Romagna MotoGP qualifying takes place at the Misano Circuit, San Marino, on Saturday (9/19/2020) in the WIB afternoon.
Viñales successfully repeated his appearance at the Misano circuit last weekend, which also won the San Marino MotoGP pole position.
This is Maverick Vinales’ third pole in the 2020 MotoGP World Championship.
Viñales in MotoGP Emilia Romagna will start the race from first place followed by Jack Miller and Fabio Quartararo.
Meanwhile, Valentino Rossi had to settle for starting the race from seventh on the grid.

This is how the Emilia Romagna MotoGP qualifiers:
Emilia Romagna’s qualifying in MotoGP begins with the Q1 session. The leader of the MotoGP classification, Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati), became one of the riders who had to fight since Q1.
After five minutes of Q1, Miguel Oliviera (Red Bull KTM Tech3) became the fastest with a lap time of 1 minute 31.875 seconds.
Going into the sixth minute, Oliviera’s teammate, Iker Lecuona, led Q1 followed by Andrea Dovizioso.
Iker Lecuona became the fastest with a lap time of 1 minute 31.715 seconds, gaining 0.086 seconds over Dovizioso.
With two minutes remaining in Q1, Johann Zarco (Reale Avintia) fell but was able to continue. The same happened to Aleix Epspargaro (Aprilia Gresini) who fell at Turn 14.
Towards the end of Q1, Jack Miller (Pramac Ducati) managed to record a lap time of 1 minute 31.559 seconds and immediately took the lead.
Jack Miller was finally entitled to qualify for Q2 as the fastest runner in the Q1 session. Jack Miller escaped with Dovizioso who managed to beat Lecuona’s time in the last round or in Q1.

Continuing with the Q2 session, LCR Honda rider Takaaki Nakagami, who had crashed in the FP4 session, was able to get back on track.
Francesco Bagnaia (Pramac Ducati) as the fastest rider in the FP3 and FP4 sessions managed to lead when Q2 walked five minutes.
Frncesco Bagnaia’s best time is 1 minute 31.313 seconds in three laps.
Bagnaia’s position was followed by Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT) and Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM).
Bagnaia became the fastest racer by defeating Maverick Vinales (Monster Energy Yamaha) who had to pit to change bikes at the request of his team.
After entering the pits, Viñales managed to move to second place when the Q2 session lasted eight minutes.
When his sixth round ended, Viñales returned to the lead with a time of 1 minute 31.268 seconds and overtook Bagnaia.
With the Q2 session leaving five minutes, Nakagami fell at Turn 15 and was unable to continue qualifying.
It was a blow to the Honda team who trusted him in the absence of Marc Márquez, Cal Crutchlow and Stefan Bradl.
In the last round or Q2 fastest lap, Viñales managed to be the fastest even though he was defeated by Bagnaia.
In fact, Bagnaia was going fast on his last fastest lap. It seems that he will beat the record time of all the riders.
Unfortunately, the driver took his career beyond the limits of the track so that his time did not count.
Nor did he get the first pole and had to settle for starting the race in fifth position.
The surprising result was that Alex Rins had to start the race in 18th place on a Suzuki factory motorcycle.
