Madrid –
Lionel Messi earned accolades after scoring 644 goals for Barcelona. La Pulga is considered an expert in reading rivals, especially goalkeepers.
Messi suppressed the golden ink, when Barcelona beat Real Valladolid 3-0 at the José Zorrilla Municipal Stadium, on Wednesday (12/23/2020) at the WIB in the morning. One goal led to a record.
A goal that made Messi surpass the record of Pelé, as the top scorer of a team in the whole mass. Messi has 644 goals for Barcelona, beyond Pelé, who scored 643 for Santos.
The goal streak is not easy to achieve. Messi is considered very good at scoring goals.
Jan Oblak, Atlético de Madrid goalkeeper, believes that Messi is very adept at reading the movements of rivals, especially goalkeepers. That is what makes it easy to get into the opponent’s goal and can determine the final result of the match.
“He would look at my leg. If he took a step, he would see it and kick it to the other side. That’s why it’s the best. That’s why it’s so difficult. It doesn’t show it, but it always looks at you,” Oblak told Sky Sports.
“He’s always looking at you. His eyes are on the ball, but he sees you. He sees everything.”
“It’s strange. Sometimes you think you can control the opposing team, especially him. But a second later, he changed the game, he scored a goal and Barcelona won.”
“Sometimes you don’t see him. Maybe you think he’s not dangerous. But then he scored. It happened to us last season. You have to concentrate 100 percent. He’s still the best player in the world,” explained the Slovenian goalkeeper.
