In the Governor’s Regulation Number 51 of 2020 Concerning the Transitional PSBB, sanctions are imposed on the organizers of religious activities that violate health protocols.
SuaraJakarta.id – The Prophet Muhammad’s birthday event attended by Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) leader Habib Rizieq Shihab in Tebet violated the COVID-19 health protocol. But the governor of DKI Jakarta did not obey the witness.
The event was hosted by Habib Ali bin Abdurrahman Assegaf and many people attended. The event took place at the Al Afaf Tebet Taklim ceremony in South Jakarta.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the crowd was deemed dangerous because it could transmit the Covid-19 virus. Even in large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in the transition period, there are regulations regarding religious events.
In the Governor’s Regulation Number 51 of 2020 on the transitional PSBB, sanctions are imposed on organizers of religious activities that violate health protocols.
In article 12, paragraph (3), it is established that any administrator and / or person in charge of a house of worship who does not comply with the obligations of the health protocol will be subject to a sanction in the form of a written warning.
Then, in Article 12 Paragraph (4), the imposition of sanctions is carried out by the mayor / regent and may be accompanied by related regional officials such as Satpol PP.
In response to this, the head of Satpol PP DKI Arifim said that his party only provided education on the importance of health protocols to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 to participants. But when asked about the sanctions, he ignored it.
“We prioritize education for all. That is what we continually do so that behavior change occurs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, how do we prevent and break the chain of transmission,” Arifin said when contacted on Friday (13 / 11/2020).
Therefore, he requested that in the future religious events such as maulid should prioritize health protocols. Otherwise, later a new corona cluster will appear due to the crowd that is produced.
“Hopefully for the next activities, the committee and everyone present will also pay attention to the health protocols,” he said.
According to him, it is not just an event that many people attend, the community should continue to apply the use of masks, keep their distance and wash their hands with soap everywhere.
“Any activity, whether in restaurants, shopping centers, all meetings, wedding banquets, etc., must refer to health protocols,” he concluded.
