The Markaz Islamic Boarding School claimed that Habib Rizieq Shihab bought the land from the operating agreement before building the Sharia Markaz located in Megamendung, Bogor, West Java province. The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning / National Land Agency (ATR / BPN) qualified the agreement as invalid.
“Yes, not valid, because it belongs to PTPN. If the operation is carried out, such cooperation must be requested from PTPN,” BPN spokesman Taufiqulhadi said when asked for confirmation on Monday (12/28/2020).
Taufiq asked why the land belonging to PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII (PTPN VIII) could be used by Markaz Syariah under the operating scheme. BPN explained that if they wanted to work on it, Markaz Syariah should have reached an agreement with PTPN VIII, which is under the auspices of BUMN.
“If you want to work on it, then make an agreement with PTPN VIII. Not with farmers, village chiefs or regents. The land is PTPN (BUMN) land. Then if the operation works there should be no permanent building on the land cultivated, “Taufiq said.
Taufiq explained that the controversy between Markaz Syariah and PTPN VIII could easily be resolved. The trick, he said, was for Habib Rizieq to return the land from HGU to PTPN VIII.
“There is no need for a team of lawyers. Just hand (the land) over to PTPN VIII. Done,” Taufiq said.
