Maradona died, Tyson remembers the memory of the champion together

Former heavyweight boxing champion, Mike tyson, conveyed pain for his death Diego Maradona recalling 1986 that it was a golden moment for the two legends of the sport.

Tyson uploaded his condolences through his Twitter account writing a memento of his triumph with Maradona while presenting a bonding photo holding ‘The Hand of God’.

“The Hand of God, Maradona has left us. At 86 we were both champions. They compared us. He was one of my heroes and friends. I have great respect for him. We will truly miss him,” Tyson wrote.

In 1986, Tyson and Maradona were successful in their respective fields. Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion by beating Trevor Berbick in the second round. Meanwhile, Maradona won the World Cup with the Argentine team, defeating West Germany 3-2.

Tyson became one of the athletes outside of soccer who expressed his condolences on Maradona’s departure.

In addition to Tyson, there were also several fighting sports athletes like Khabib Nurmagomedov who paid tribute to Maradona through social media. So are former MotoGP champions Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo.

The news of Maradona’s departure emerged on Wednesday (11/25) Indonesian time. Media in Argentina said that Maradona died after suffering a heart attack.

It is said that Maradona’s body was in the Casa Rosada funeral home, Buenos Aires, so that the public can see the figure that is the key to Argentina’s success in becoming world champion in 1986.

The Argentine government has also expressed its respect for the former hero of the Tango team by establishing a three-day mourning period.
