Manchester –
Manchester City could only draw 0-0 against Manchester United. This shows once again that something is wrong with City, especially away from home.
In fact, City started climbing again after winning their last two Premier League games, namely 5-0 over Burnley and 2-0 over Fulham. That didn’t include the duel against Marseille in yesterday’s Champions League.
As long as Manchester United, their opponent in Week 11 of the Premier League, are back at home, there is a strong chance that City will win three points and move up the rankings.
Although not reinforced by Sergio Agüero, City can still count on Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva on the attack line, early Sunday morning (11/13/2020) WIB.
However, during the 90 minutes, City could not really threaten David de Gea’s goal. They even struggled to create clean chances because ESPN recorded just two shots on goal by City.
Until the match is completed, the 0-0 score remains. The spotlight returns to City, which again failed to score an away goal. This is the second time in a row that they have not been able to get into the opponent’s goal, after being beaten 0-2 by Tottenham Hotspur.
For the first time, City has experienced it since January 2017. Although he wants to tell it in more detail, City have gone 242 minutes without scoring in an away game, the longest period of the Pep Guardiola era.
Manchester City’s last away goal? Kyle Walker in the 28th minute by breaking into Sheffield United’s goal at Bramall Lane on October 30 or nearly 1.5 months.
“We made a lot of chances; look at how they beat us last season, they beat West Ham after being 0-1 behind, United can play well because they are a quality team,” Guardiola said. BBC Sport.
“The important thing is that we do not concede. We have enough chances but it is a close match. Respect for both teams. We have to be a little more acute in attack,” he continued.
