jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The house of the mother of the Coordinating Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, Siti Khotijah in Pamekasan, Madura, was attacked by a group of people.

DPD RI AA President LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti invited all parties to pay attention to differences of opinion.

“If there are differences of opinion, the public can do tabayyun with the government. Do not take actions that could harm other people,” LaNyalla said in Jakarta on Wednesday (02/12/2020).

A group of people came to the home of Mahfud, who is 90 years old. Besides Mahfud’s mother, there is also Mahfud’s 70-year-old brother in the house along with 2 nurses and domestic workers.

According to the family’s admission, Ms. Mahfud was afraid when her home was raided by a group of people looking for Mahfud. Dozens of people who came to Mother Mahfud’s house expressed their aspirations that did not agree with Mahfud MD’s statement about Habib Rizieq Shihab.

“We have to respect the parents. If there is indeed a disagreement with Pak Mahfud, this can be conveyed in more appropriate ways. By not visiting his residence, especially at the home of Pak Mahfud’s elderly mother,” LaNyalla said.

The senator from the East Java constituency invited religious and community figures, especially those from Madura, to embrace the community. Thus, LaNyalla said, no more similar incidents will occur.

“I invite religious scholars, habaib and kiai-kiai to urge their followers to emphasize tabayyun. Use existing facilities, including US senators if there is discontent with the government, “he said.
