JAKARTA, KOMPAS TV – The coordinating minister for Maritime Affairs and Investments, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, made strong comments aimed at former high-ranking officials who rejected the Omnibus Law on the Employment Creation Law.

He delivered a strong reprimand because the rejection of the Omnibus Law on Employment Creation Law sparked massive reactions to large-scale demonstrations in various regions of Indonesia.

Rather than hastily rejecting it, Luhut asked former high-ranking officials to read the content of the Job Creation Law before commenting.

Furthermore, currently the threat of a pandemic outbreak of the corona virus or Covid-19 still haunts Indonesia. With a large-scale demonstration, it is prone to trigger the transmission of Covid-19.

“Leaders who feel like leaders, former high-ranking officials, read carefully. You are a sinner for doing all this,” Luhut said in an interview with national television on Thursday (10/15/2020).

Luhut said his party received a report from the Regional Police on the number of people affected by the corona virus due to the demonstrations.
