Liverpool beat Ajax Amsterdam 1-0 in the Champions League. The appearance of the young reds was so proud!

Reporting from the official website UEFALiverpool manager Juergen Klopp is very proud of the appearance of his young players. Curtis Jones (19 years old) can score the winning goal, Neco Williams (19 years old) can provide assists and Caoimhin Kelleher (22 years old) looks brilliant in goal in goal.

“This is the most fantastic result of the Champions League game, because many of our players are injured. Young players are brilliant, remember that your opponent is Ajax, a tough opponent,” said Klopp.

“Curtis Jones cleverly scored a goal, Neco Williams gave an unexpected pass and Caoimhin Kelleher made a good save. It is not easy to appear in the Champions League,” he continued.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson also praised the three youngsters. For him, this victory deserved them.

By accumulating 12 points from 5 matches, Liverpool is confirmed to be the group winner after Atalanta’s other match drew 1-1 with Midtjylland. As for Ajax, this defeat made them have to beat Atalanta in the last match if they wanted to qualify for the knockout phase.
