Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Manager of the Pre-Employment Card Program decided not to open the batch of 11 records this year. This was confirmed after registration for phase 10 ended early last week, on Monday (09/28/2020).
The next wave did not open because the quota for this year’s budget had already been reached by the previous wave. This was transmitted by the Coordinating Minister of Economy Airlangga Hartarto.
As is known, up to the ninth batch of pre-employment card programs, 5,480,918 participants have registered or 98% of the target. So in lot 10, the pre-employment card manager will only recruit 116,261 new participants.
“Thus, the total quota for the beneficiaries of the pre-employment card for the fiscal year 2020 is complete,” said Airlangga, as quoted on Sunday (04/10/2020).
It should be noted that the budget for the pre-employment card this year reached the quota of 5.6 million with a budget of Rs 20 trillion.
Rudy Salahuddin, head of the executive team of the job creation committee, said the entire budget had been absorbed. In the meantime, he added, there are no plans to increase the budget for this year’s pre-employment card program.
“There is no further information on whether the additional budget will be given. But if it does, we are ready,” Rudy told CNBC Indonesia.
Public interest in joining the pre-employment card program is quite high. As of September 25, 2020, 30.44 million Indonesians had registered through the prakerja.go.id site.
