One, Mahfud said, the Ciptaker Act was formed precisely to carry out the government’s tasks in building community well-being by creating more job opportunities, protecting workers, simplifying bureaucracy, and making business easier. .

“In addition to eradicating corruption and extortion (illegal taxes) and preventing other corruption crimes,” said Mahfud accompanied by the head of the National Police, General Idham Azis, TNI commander, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, and chief of General BIN (Purn) Budi Gunawan.

Two, Mahfud continued, the government respects freedom of opinion and expresses aspirations related to the Ciptaker Act as long as it is done in a peaceful manner, respects the rights of other citizens, and does not disturb public order.

Three, Mahfud said, the government regretted the anarchist actions carried out by the masses in certain places by destroying public facilities, burning, wounding officials and also looting. “This action is clearly a criminal act that cannot be tolerated and must be stopped,” said the former head of the Constitutional Court (MK).

Fourth, Mahfud continued, the act of destroying public facilities and physically attacking the apparatus and members of the community is insensitive to the conditions experienced by people fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and difficult economic conditions.
