JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Labor Minister Ida Fauziyah said there were more than 2.1 million recipients of the wage assistance or wage subsidy (BSU) from period II (for November-December) that had been distributed today by the Service Office of the State Treasury (KPPN).

“We made sure the second installment of the BSU grant was disbursed today.” This afternoon I received a report that the data on the BSU stage 1 beneficiaries of 2,180,382 people had been processed to the KPPN, “Ida said in a written statement on Monday (September 11, 2020).

“In addition, the KPPN will be transferred to the Distributor Bank and distributed to each recipient’s account, both Himbara and non-Himbara accounts, just like the first period mechanism,” he continued.

In addition, Ida said, her party continues to strive to speed up the process of distributing wage subsidies for workers in this second term.

“We try to do it in a week so that it is processed in two stages (batch) directly so that it can be accepted immediately by co-workers or day laborers to help people’s purchasing power and consumption,” Ida said.

Ida explained that the process for distributing the salary subsidy for the second period is slightly different from the previous one.

The reason is that, on the recommendation of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for the distribution of BSU, it is necessary to match the data with the taxpayer data.

In this case, it is the duty of the General Tax Directorate (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance.

The data collation process is also part of the evaluation of the distribution of first-term wage subsidies to be targeted.

“We received a recommendation from KPK that it is necessary to match the BSU recipient data with the fiscal data of the General Directorate of Taxes. Therefore, after the installment payment was completed about two weeks ago, the Ministry of Mano de Obra and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan coordinated with DGT to perform the data comparison, ”said Ida.

As is known, the wage subsidy aid is channeled to workers or laborers earning less than 5 million rupees per month.

Government aid in the form of salary / wage subsidy of Rs 600,000 was distributed over four months or a total of Rs 2.4 million.

This assistance is distributed in stages, namely the first period of IDR 1.2 million in September-October 2020. Then, the second period of IDR 1.2 million in November-December 2020.
