Lion Air plane skidded at Radin Inten II airport, all passengers survived: National Okezone

TANJUNG KARANG – A plane Leon air Flight JT-173 skidded at Radin Inten II Airport, Lampung, on Sunday (12/20/2020).

Lion Air Strategic Corporate Communications Danang Mandala Prihantoro said the aircraft was the destination of Radin Inten II Airport, Tanjung Karang, Lampung (TKG), and had been carried out in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and following the guidelines of the health protocol.

“Lion Air has prepared a JT-173 flight using a Boeing 737-900ER aircraft for PK-LGP registration. Before departure, it has undergone a pre-flight check and the aircraft is declared safe for flight,” he said. Danang in his statement.

He said the entire duty crew had gone through a health check and screening process before departing, and were declared healthy for the flight.

“Lion Air flight JT-173 carries 7 crew members and 125 adult passengers, one child, two young children,” he continued.

According to him, the plane took off from Hang Nadim International Airport at 13.33 WIB and landed at Radin Inten II Airport at 14:45 WIB.

“When landing in heavy rain, with visibility that meets the aircraft’s landing process qualifications. After the plane is at low speed and the process of turning towards the parking (platform), the fuselage leaves the runway ”, he said.

All passengers and crew, Danang said, were in safe condition and an evacuation process was carried out to the airport terminal building.

“Lion Air will continue to coordinate and cooperate with local airport managers and other agencies involved in the aircraft evacuation process,” he concluded.
