Lion Air plane skidded at Lampung airport after landing, all passengers survived

LAMPUNG, KOMPAS.com – Lion Air plane skidded track after landing at Radin Intan II Airport, Lampung, on Sunday (12/20/2020) around 1:35 PM WIB.

The plane with flight number JT – 173 arrived from Batam with the objective of Tanjung Karang, Lampung.

Radin Intan II Airport Public Relations, Pujo Wusono confirmed that it was true that the Lion Air passenger plane had skidded track airport after landing.

“It is true that there was an incident (the plane skidded),” Pujo said when contacted on Sunday (12/20/2020) afternoon.

However, regarding the cause of the plane’s slippage, Pujo admitted that he was unable to provide detailed information.

“More research is needed to find the cause,” Pujo said.

From the temporary information, Pujo said, there were no victims of the incident.

The airport is still evacuating the passengers who are on the plane.

“There were no casualties. Currently, the officers are still evacuating,” Pujo said.

Apparently the Lion Air flight happened too fast (about running) when turning into the terminal area after landing at the airport.
