The vice president of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Zita Anjani, doubts that the floods in Jakarta will decrease in 6 hours. He highlighted the problem of the flood management infrastructure in DKI that was not yet ready.

“We appreciate the initiative of the governor of the mud raids, but it is not a solution to the floods. Like going to the moon, you have to build a rocket. Using a plane will not arrive,” said Zita Anjani, when contacted on Wednesday ( 4/11/2020).

“As with the floods, the infrastructure in DKI must be improved, mud incursions are not enough,” he continued.

Part of the infrastructure to be prepared by the DKI Jakarta government is the widening of the river and others. According to Zita, all these standards have not been optimally implemented by the provincial government of DKI.

“Yes, reservoir infrastructure, widening of rivers or rivers, drainage, pump houses, etc. Yes, flood infrastructure standards,” he said.

For the PAN politician, Anies’ wish that the floods recede in 6 hours will not come true if there is a lot of rain like at the beginning of this year. According to Zita, the mass of standing water at the site of the flood will remain the same as at the beginning of the year, even longer.

“If (the rain) is the same as at the beginning of the year, it will flood biweekly. But the BMKG prediction and experts say it will be even worse. With the existing infrastructure, if the rain is greater than early 2020, yes, the flood will be greater, “he explained. the.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan led the preparation ceremony for the capital city level. Anies hopes that when the heavy rains fall, the flood will recede in 6 hours.

“If it rains more than 100mm like at the beginning of last year, it rains 377mm, then our responsibility is, I convey this as one direction, there are two indicators of success, one is not a victim, all residents are safe. Two, the flood should recede in 6 hours, “said Anies at the JICT II field, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.

“This is if the rain is above the capacity of our drainage system. All the items are on hold here. God willing, Jakarta can be flood free, and if there is heavy rain we can immediately go back in less than 6 hours “he added.
