Brighton & Hove Albion lost dramatically to Manchester United. The loss was heartbreaking for Brighton manager Graham Potter.

The Brighton vs MU duel at Amex Stadium in the third week of the Premier League on Saturday (9/26/2020) was exciting. The two teams exchanged goals until the last minute.

The match then ended dramatically. When the score was tied 2-2, Harry Maguire nearly led MU to the win with a header in the 90 + 7 minute. However, his header was cleared and referee Chris Kavanagh blew the whistle to sign the game over.

When the Brighton players celebrated the success of stealing points against MU, the Red Devils players protested to the referee. They felt that Maguire’s head butt had hit Neal Maupay’s hand.

The referee then reviewed the VAR and MU received a penalty for Maupay’s hand. Bruno Fernandes, who ran as executor, successfully fulfilled his duties and led MU to win 3-2.

Brighton actually seemed more dominant in this match. Excellent in possession, Brighton is also superior in number of shots (18) over MU, who only fired seven shots.

However, it seems that Brighton is not covered by the goddess of fortune. Five of his attempts were countered by the mail.

Brighton Manager Graham Potter is really pleased with the performance of his landing team. He also believes that Brighton deserves at least one point.

“Our level of performance is incredible, I am very proud of the players. It hurts. Sometimes life is unfair and now it feels like this,” Graham Potter told reporters. BBC Sport.

“All the little things didn’t go our way, but we were very good for the 90 minutes and we have to carry it forward. We have grown as a team and we will take this opportunity in the most positive way possible.

“I don’t know the number of shots, but we were dominant. We deserved something, at least, from this game,” he said.
