Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
The phenomenon of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transsexuals (Lgbt) excelling within the Indonesian National Army (TNI). This was revealed by the head of the Military Chamber of the Supreme Court, Major General (ret) Burhan Dahlan.
He conveyed that there were many LGBT groups among TNI officials. In fact, he said, this group was chaired by a soldier with the rank of sergeant with members generally from the Lieutenant Colonel.
“LGBT is lesbian, gay, transgender and bisexual. In fact, I was told that there are already new groups, the united group LGBT TNI Polri, whose leader is Sergeant. Its members are Lieutenant Colonel, this is unique. But it is true”, Burhan said. when he was an interpreter in an act performed by the Supreme Court some time ago.
He said the LGBT phenomenon within TNIs has been around for a long time, but new groups have emerged. He also admitted that he had handled cases related to sexual deviance within TNI.
At that time, he decided that the officer in question was not guilty because the sexual deviation occurred due to shock after a military operation. Burhan only asked his commander to treat the officer until he recovered.
However, when the phenomenon happened again, Burhan admitted that he was disappointed that the author was acquitted. Considering that it is evident that the deviant behavior of these officers is no longer due to military operations, but to social relations.
“If what is now is not caused by such an atmosphere. It is more caused by the mixing phenomenon, more caused by the amount of watching from WhatsApp, watching BDSM videos (red: bondage, discipline, domination, submission, sadism, Y masochism.), this has generated deviant behavior. This includes the desire to unleash libido against people of the same sex, “he said.
Puspen TNI chief Colonel Sus Aidil of Puspen said that all TNI units are currently applying strict sanctions against soldiers who have proven to have violated the law of decency. Including LGBT cases.
He said that the TNI Commander had even issued a telegram letter number ST / 398/2009 dated July 22, 2009 which was again emphasized with telegram number ST / 1648/2019 dated October 22, 2019.
“What emphasizes that LGBT is one of the actions that a soldier should not commit, is against military discipline and is a serious violation that should not occur within TNI,” Aidil said in a statement on Thursday (10/15) .
Reasonable dismissal
Padjadjaran University military observer Professor Muradi said it was only natural for TNI to dismiss LGBT perpetrators in their environment. From the beginning there was a written agreement that soldiers should have only one sexual desire.
In this case, men like women and women like men.
“From the beginning of the registration, from enlistment, NCOs to officers, there is a control of sexuality. Now there is also an agreement between the possible staff, the possible member and the TNI headquarters,” Muradi said when contacted by phone on Friday (10/16).
“So when they are deviated, then yes, there must be consequences. They can be fired, because they are considerate, disobeying the original agreement,” Muradi explained.
Muradi himself said that there were two possibilities for a TNI officer to engage in LGBT sexual behavior. It could be that he said, when an officer entry selection test was conducted, the selectors did not delve into the potential officer’s sexual interests.
“This means you have a gay gene, there is a lesbian gene and so on, but it is not explored further,” he said.
Other things may happen because of the association within TNI that makes it so. It could also be because you’ve seen people become LGBT and then there is interest in joining the group.
“So those two things are possible. I think it’s part of the situation that they cannot reject. So when they have a slightly different sex, he will look for people who are similar or the same. That is why they then have an (LGBT) community.” Muradi said. .
