TRIBUNJOGJA.COM, YOGYA – A merchant from a grocery store in Danurejan, Yogyakarta city was pronounced dead with a positive Covid-19 status.

Two of his family members were also exposed to the virus that first appeared in Wuhan China from the results of the Yogyakarta city government’s tracking.

The head of Yogyakarta’s Covid-19 Management Working Group, Heroe Poerwadi, said the patient died on August 26, while the results of the swab test were only released three days ago.

According to him, he showed symptoms that led to Covid-19.

“Previously, the patient also underwent a rapid test and was hospitalized in one of the hospitals, because he experienced symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath and a cold sweat,” he said when confirmed on Wednesday (9/2/2020) in the afternoon.

Heroe said that the grocery store, which is run by patients, is located in the Bausasran area and not far from Lempuyangan station.

As a follow-up effort, on August 30, the Yogyakarta city government began to intensify the tracking of affected family members.

“Yes, then we did a swab to the family members, a total of four people. The result, two people are positive, one negative and one has not come out,” added Heroe.
