jpnn.com, BANDUNG – The West Java Police conducted an investigation into a case of alleged violation of the COVID-19 health protocol at an activity attended by FPI (Islamic Defenders Front) Grand Imam Habib Rizieq Shihab in Megamendung, Bogor, on Friday, November 13, 2020.

The director general of criminal investigation of the West Java regional police, Kombes CH Patoppoi, stated that his party had sent a second summons to Habib Rizieq Shihab.

“The second subpoena (Rizieq Shihab) has been sent,” said Patoppoi in Bandung, West Java, on Friday (11/12).

Previously, it was planned to question Habib Rizieq on Thursday (10/12).

However, Habib Rizieq canceled attendance at the convocation claiming that he was in a state of health recovery.

Still, the police said they would continue the legal process by issuing a second summons to Rizieq, who is scheduled to be questioned on Monday (12/14) next week.

Meanwhile, if Habib Rizieq returns to his absence next week, West Java Regional Police Chief Kombes Pol Erdi A. Chaniago said his party would find out why first.

“Are you sick or is there another obstacle? Let’s see first. The point is that, in the future, investigators from the West Java Regional Police will send out a second summons,” he said.

Next week, the West Java Regional Police also plans to conduct investigations with West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil and Bogor Regent Ade Yasin. (between / jpnn)
