BOLASPORT.COM – With his victory at the 2020 Eifel GP, F1 driver Lewis Hamilton finally managed to match Michael Schumacher’s record that has lasted 14 years.

Lewis Hamilton won the 2020 Eifel GP on Sunday (11/10/2020) at the Nurburgring Circuit, Germany.

The Mercedes team F1 driver finished the 2020 Eifel GP race in first place, beating two competitors, Max Verstappen (Netherlands / Red Bull Racing-Honda) and Daniel Ricciardo (Australia / Renault).

This is Hamilton’s 91st victory in jet land racing since it debuted in 2007.

With 91 victories, Lewis Hamilton finally equaled the record of German F1 legend Michael Schumacher, which had lasted 14 years.

Michael Schumacher’s son Mick gifted his father’s helmet to Hamilton for equaling the great record.

“I’m honored. Looking at his dominance, I don’t think anyone, especially me, is anywhere near Michael in terms of records,” Hamilton was quoted as saying by the Independent’s Bolasport.com.

Schumacher achieved his last F1 stage victory at the 2006 Chinese GP.

Schumacher and Hamilton’s 91 victories far surpassed those of any other driver in F1 history.
