Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Advisor to the employees of the Commission for the Eradication of Corruption (NCP), Nanang Farid Syam resigned from the anti-corruption agency. KPK Senior Officer has submitted a letter of resignation by December 16, 2020, exactly 15 years of service at the institution.
“I took office on December 16, 2005. So, I applied yesterday to end on December 16, 2020,” Nanang said when contacted. CNNIndonesia.com, Friday (11/13).
Nanang, who for 15 years has worked in the Development Directorate section of the Agency Cooperation Network and KPK (PJ KAKI) felt it was time to go.
“There may be 1001 reasons. I feel like I just finished. It’s like a person running to their destination. So there could be various perspectives on the goals. I feel like what I’m doing is enough, maybe I need a new track to run again. “he added.
Apart from that, he added, changes to the KPK (UU) Law also contributed to his decision to leave the anti-corruption commission. He said work with the spirit to eradicate corruption was interrupted.
It is known that the KPK Act underwent changes towards the end of 2019. At the time, the KPK said that there were at least 26 trouble spots contained in the amending rules. Two of them deal with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) which is part of the executive branch and KPK employees become ASN.
“So at the end of 2019 we have also been contemplating together with friends, then we will try to run a year. It turns out that I think this is not my place. Because maybe my expectations are too high,” Nanang said.
The former head of the Employees Council for the period 2012-2014 said that the amendment to the KPK Act made several employees no longer feel comfortable working. According to him, the institution’s work to eradicate corruption has weakened.
Nanang revealed that he was not the first person in PJ KAKI’s leadership to resign since the official KPK Law underwent changes in October last year.
“In PJ KAKI, 4 have come out,” Nanang added.
Based on what his friend said, Nanang said that they felt uncomfortable working because they were engulfed in uncertainty.
“The point is that people work in an environment full of uncertainty, yes, definitely uncomfortable. What I see is that when I meet, I chat, they ask questions. Maybe they ask about my capacity as an employee forum, right, ”he said.
“Then I answered like this: ‘Those who ask do not know more than those who ask.’ Because yes, there is no certainty. Where do they want employees to take them, “he continued.
Previously, KPK Vice President Nawawi Pomolango revealed that 37 employees had resigned from the institution during January-September 2020. One employee who resigned was former KPK spokesperson Febri Diansyah.
