The KPK named 7 people as suspects in the hand capture operation (OTT) of Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Edhy Prabowo. The KPK said that the investigation into the alleged corruption in the export of lobster seeds had been carried out since August.
KPK Execution Deputy Karyoto said that the investigation of this case was not a short time. According to him, the investigation order began in August.
“If we look at the investigation order, we will start in August. Surely August is not a short time,” Karyoto told reporters at KPK’s Red and White building, Jakarta, on Wednesday (11/25/2020).
Karyoto explained that since the investigation warrant began, the KPK had been profiling. Not only that, the KPK also collected a number of information on transactions through technology and banking.
“We process all of this, we mix it up so that we can make a portrait of the incident. So that what we do, which is said to be continuous, we can finally catch and arrest those categorized as the people who are the suspects here in time.” “He explained.
Edhy Prabowo was arrested by the KPK on Tuesday (11/24) shortly before midnight at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Cengkareng. At that moment Edhy Prabowo got off the plane that brought him from Japan. Previously, Edhy Prabowo and his entourage visited Hawaii, United States (USA) and then returned to Indonesia transiting Japan for the first time. The KPK secured a total of 17 people, including Edhy Prabowo’s wife named Iis Rosita Dewi.
Iis himself was released by the KPK. He was not named a suspect.
