Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Commission for the Eradication of Corruption (NCP) will release the results of the detention operation (OTT) related to the alleged corruption of social assistance in the management of the Covid-19 pandemic that traps officials of the Ministry of Social (Ministry of Social Affairs) tonight, Saturday (5/12).
“We will have an exhibition and a press conference that will be held tonight,” KPK Vice President Nurul Ghufron told reporters in a written statement on Saturday (May 12).
Ghufron said investigators are currently investigating the arrested parties. In this OTT, the KPK prosecution team secured at least 6 people, including officials from the Ministry of Social Affairs.
“Until now, we are still conducting research,” he said.
Previously, the president of KPK, Firli Bahuri, said that the OTT that dragged the official from the Ministry of Social Affairs was related to the social assistance program in the management of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The alleged corruption of PPK has received gifts from the PBJ welfare providers in the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs for handling the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
As stipulated in the Code of Criminal Procedure, anti-corruption institutions have 1×24 hours to determine the legal status of the insured parties.
