JAKARTA, KOMPAS TV – The National Police Headquarters has invited Komnas HAM to form a special team to investigate the deaths of the six special laskar from the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) who were guarding Habib Rizieq Shihab.

The National Police assessed that the Komnas HAM passage intends to investigate it as a form of external supervision.

“Yes, okay. That is a form of external supervision,” Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said at Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, on Tuesday ( 8/12/2020).

Awi said that the National Police would be ready to help Komnas HAM. This is done by providing the data that will be needed as follow-up material.

In addition, Awi said, his party will also be transparent in handling cases of the deaths of six FPI soldiers at kilometer 50 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.

“Later we will help with whatever information is needed. Until now we are transparent. Go ahead,” he said.
