Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) has sent a letter of examination to the Head of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Kabareskrim), Police Commissioner General Listyo Sigit Prabowo regarding the continued investigation of the FPI-police clash on Monday (7/12).

The letter is in the form of a request to Kabareskrim for information about the car, which is the evidence in the incident that killed six of Rizieq’s guards.

“The Investigation Team of the National Human Rights Commission sent a letter to the Chief of the Criminal and Criminal Investigation Police to obtain information about the car and various information contained in the car,” said the Head of the Investigation Team of Komnas HAM , Choirul Anam in their statement on Sunday (12/20).

In the investigation, Komnas HAM will later see the car that the six FPI laskar boarded, as well as the car used by the Polda Metro Jaya police in the incident.

However, Komnas HAM has yet to determine a definite schedule for the three-star general exam.

“This request for information by directly viewing and examining the car. Hopefully this collection and investigation can be done according to schedule,” Anam said.

So far, Komnas HAM has questioned at least 25 witnesses about the FPI-Police clash that occurred on Monday (7/12) that morning. They are made up of a number, both from the police, the FPI, and the community who are witnesses.

Komnas HAM also plans to collaborate with experts to help investigations examine the investigation results from a scientific point of view and learn more about the events.

“Definitely (I will call in expert witnesses). One of the jobs of human rights investigation is to use the development of technology and science,” Anam said.

“If we need to provide even more confidence, we will definitely call in experts,” he said.
