Komnas HAM called voice notes to illuminate the FPI vs Police case

Komnas HAM call a voice recording or voice note obtained from a cell phone seized by the police greatly contributed to the opening of the case of the shooting of six members of the Laskar Pembela Islam (LPI) on the Cikampek toll road.

This was said after the investigation of the director of general crimes in Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Andi Rian Djajadi and his ranks of investigators for approximately 6.5 hours, at the Komnas HAM building, Jakarta, on Wednesday (12/23) .

During questioning, Komnas HAM Commissioner Choirul Anam said investigators showed seven cell phones that were confiscated in the incident. Inside, there is a voice recording that allegedly took place moments before the confrontation incident.

“We are also the following verification voice note what is in, if there is public voice note circulating, we check in more detail, more, more completely, “said Choirul.

“And everything was opened by our police friends who, in our opinion, can turn existing information into information that has a very great contribution to open the light of the facts,” he added.

During the examination, the police also revealed evidence in the form of firearms related to the incident.

“Today from morning until 16.30 WIB, we broadcast, we opened, we presented the evidence that investigators had confiscated,” Andi said, at the Komnas HAM office, Jakarta, on Wednesday (12/23).

In detail, the police officers manufactured four firearms at the time of the incident. Later, two non-manufactured firearms of the revolver type allegedly belonged to FPI Laskar.

Apart from that, the police also carried sharp weapons in the form of katanas, sickles, and sticks with pointed tips.

For information, clashes between the police and FPI Laskar on the Cikampek KM 50 toll road on Monday morning (7/12). In this incident, the police shot and killed six members of the FPI Laskar.

Two of them died during a shootout, while four others were shot in a car for resisting and trying to grab the officers’ weapons.

Komnas HAM also opened an independent investigation to investigate the case. The reason is that both sides have often made statements about the attack incident with different versions.

The Secretary General of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Munarman said voice note it is strong evidence that the army car was attacked by the police. One of them was a recording that contained a voice suspicious of being a member of the military saying: “Please sir, it hurts.”

On the contrary, the police declared voice note proof that the army carried out the attack.
