JEMBER, KOMPAS.com – The Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, imposed administrative sanctions on the regent of Jember Faida in the form of non-payment of economic rights for six months.
Khofifah’s decision was contained in letter number 700/1713/060/2020 regarding the imposition of administrative sanctions on the regent of Jember.
The decision was signed by Khofifah on September 2, 2020 in Surabaya.

Khofifah argued that the sanctions were imposed because Faida was slow to process the formation of the Jember Regency Raperda in the Jember APBD for the 2020 budget year.
“Economic rights include basic salary, work allowance and other benefits,” Khofifah said in the letter.

Other rights not granted, namely fees, operational support costs and other financial rights in accordance with legal regulations.
The decision on the sanction has been in effect since the stipulation.
“We received the governor’s decree regarding administrative sanctions against Jember’s regent,” Jember DPRD Chairman Itqon Syauqi said during a press conference in Jember DPRD Banmus room on Tuesday (9 / 8/2020).
Itqon said the letter was also sent to the Minister of the Interior, the chairman of Jember DPRD, the head of the East Java BPK representative, the East Java provincial government inspector, the East Java provincial BPKA head and the head of Jember’s BPKAD.
