JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Unable to meet with the president at a rally to reject the Job Creation Law that took place on Friday afternoon (10/16/2020), the All Indonesia BEM Alliance (BEM SI) said it would carry out again one share on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

Through an official statement, the BEM Jabodetabek-Banten Regional Coordinator for the BEM SI Alliance, Bagas Maropindra, revealed that his party was taking more measures because the party that met with the mass of the action today was the Special General Staff. of the Millennium, instead of the President.

He said that he felt that the Millennium General Staff was not a representative of President Joko Widodo.

His party stated that the action to be carried out was peaceful and free from anarchist actions.

As for, there are four things required by BEM SI in its action.

First, BEM SI urged the president to issue a Perppu to repeal the Employment Creation Law.

Secondly, the BEM SI also condemned the actions of the government that tried to intervene in the movement and the voice of the people for the rejection of the Intellectual Property Law.

Third, BEM SI condemns the various repressive actions of the state apparatus against the protesters.

Fourth, BEM SI invites students from all over Indonesia to join in to continue broadcasting the rejection of the Job Creation Act until the Job Creation Act is repealed and canceled.

Meanwhile, the BEM SI Jabodetabek-Banten Alliance took an action to reject the general law of the Employment Creation Law on Friday afternoon.

Students started arriving at Jalan Merdeka Barat around 1:30 PM WIB.

The masses began to leave the scene of the action at 5:00 p.m. on the WIB.

As for, the Copyright Law was approved by the DPR on Monday (10/5/2020). To this day, the wave of rejection continues to emerge.
