Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Head of the Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) DKI Jakarta Chaidir said the remaining three candidates for Regional Secretary (Sekda) would be presented for selection by President Joko Widodo’s Final Evaluation Team (TPA) (Jokowi).

“TPA in the president of the Republic of Indonesia is to determine the best of the three best (candidates) proposed by the regional government of DKI Jakarta,” Chaidir told reporters on Friday (11/12).

Three names of regional secretary candidates have been presented to President Jokowi, namely Acting Regional Secretary Sri Haryati, South Jakarta Mayor Marullah Matali and North Jakarta Mayor Sigit Wijatmoko.

Chaidir said the three names submitted by Jokowi were the result of recommendations from the State Civil Service Commission (KASN). All three candidates have also passed the open selection and meet the requirements with a final score of approximately 75.00.

“The ad (three candidates) has been recommended by KASN and has been presented to the Interior Ministry, then to the president,” Chaidir said.

“The DKI Jakarta Regional Government is awaiting the decision of the best three, which of them will be the final secretary that is outlined in the Presidential Decree,” he added.

Chaidir then explained that a person who was elected would be included in a Presidential Decree. The Jokowi decree will be handed over to DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

“The Presidential Decree will be presented to the governor to be followed by the governor and / or the Minister of the Interior,” said Chaidir.

It should be noted that the post of DKI Regional Secretary became vacant after Saefullah left, who died after being exposed to Covid-19 on September 16.

The Provincial Government then conducts an open selection to determine who is entitled to fill one of the strategic positions in the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government.
