Jokowi sends millennial staff to meet with protesters to reject the omnibus law

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) sent one of the millennial special staff members, Aminuddin Ma’ruf, to meet with students protesting in front of the Presidential Palace, Jakarta.

While speaking to the media team, on Friday (10/16/2020), Aminuddin left the Palace and met with protesters who rejected the (UU) Create Jobs Act at 3:00 p.m. WIB.

“They asked me to meet with younger students who convey their aspirations,” Aminuddin said on Friday (10/16/2020).

He said that he had listened to all the demands of the students who were members of the All Indonesia BEM. They demanded that the government issue a Government Regulation in Place of Law (Perppu) to revoke the Employment Creation Law

“I will broadcast the statement of attitude from friends of BEM throughout Indonesia, nothing less and nothing more. Everything is related to the Employment Creation Law ”, he explained.

Aminuddin said the students’ demands would be conveyed directly to President Jokowi. The head of state himself is not currently in the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, but in the Bogor Palace.
