Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo had stated that the community was happy when the Supreme Court (MA) canceled the increase in BPJS health rates. But now that the President has raised BPJS’s health fees again, what is Ganjar’s response?

Ganjar said he had been asked by residents and even Indonesian citizens currently in Europe who learned of the increase in BPJS health rates. He said this when he was deeply connected video conference.

“BPJS has a health problem, and difficult and unpopular decisions are also made, perhaps the public sees this as a flaw. My friends in Europe contact me, what else is this? I don’t know,” Ganjar said in his official residence on Wednesday (5/13/2020) night.

“After I found out, it turns out I remember considering it because BPJS’s financial position is really difficult,” he added.

He explained that when BPJS Health contributions were busy a few months ago, Ganjar had proposed to the central government to make Jamkesda in the regions.

“I say this is heavy, I ask to involve the regions, the regions ask for more Jamkesda, not anything, instead of the BPJS object. This is just an example. That was the criticism (I) said openly, “he said.
