Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) assessed that social constraints at the microscale (PSBM) were much more effective in implementing disciplined public health protocols.

This was stated by the presidential jury of intervention, Fadjroel Rachman, through a brief message to the media on Friday (11/9/2020). In fact, this speech has been discussed by the head of state on Thursday (10/9/2020).

“I accompanied the president yesterday. He emphasized that based on empirical experience during the management of the Covid-19 pandemic, micro / community social restrictions are more effective in implementing disciplined health protocols, ”said Fadjroel.

However, Fadjroel did not explain in detail what kind of microscale limitation. However, for the central government, the policy is considered more effective in the implementation of health protocols against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The PSBM policy itself has been implemented by West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil in several of these areas, this step is considered effective in reducing the transmission rate of Covid-19.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan again decided to implement large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) that came into effect on Monday, September 14, 2020.

“At the meeting it was concluded that we will pull the emergency brake, which means that we are forced to re-implement the PSBB as it was in the first days of the pandemic. It is no longer a transitory PSBB but we must carry out the PSBB as in the first days, “Anies said.

“We agreed to put the ’emergency brake’ on and we will apply it according to the president’s instructions at the beginning of the outbreak. Work from home, study from home and try to worship from home,” Anies said.
